Fellow LisTRs --
I wonder if someone out there can help me. First, some background. I spotted
a luggage rack on eBay. It was a NOS Amco de-mountable rack. Kind of small
for my TR6, but, hey, I won it with a $7.50 bid! That's a lot cheaper than
the $200 racks the Big Three are selling.
Okay, so the rack arrives, but our friendly USPS has crushed the box it was
shipped in. The four "feet" of the rack are sticking out through the
cardboard. As a result, of the 28 hardware pieces that were packed in a
small pouch with the rack, only 23 made it to my home. The rest are
somewhere between my home in Connecticut and Oregon. I don't mind the
missing bolts and washers; I can get them at my hardware store. What I'm
missing is one of the chromed metal "pads" that attaches to the boot lid of
the car, under one of the feet.
The Amco model number is, I believe, AA#28. Would anyone have an extra pad
or sets of pads they could sell me? The pads are marked either "front" or
"rear". I'm missing a rear pad. If not, would anyone know of a company which
supplies spare Amco parts?
TIA,
Red Hansen
