Thanks for the S.U. suggestion. I'll find out if they clear the hood.
Regarding the tr-6 block in the Spit. The gt-6 "bulged" hood is required
for clearance. Other gt-6 parts needed include; water pump, intake
manifold and transmission. The oil pan drain plug needs relocation. Gt-6
front springs and brakes are a good idea as well. Seems like alot of
people have enjoyed the results of this "all in the family swap". Nothing
like the torque and what a sweet noise!
I also have a '76 spitfire with a '69 gt-6 engine and transmission as
well as a '79 spit with dual su's and header(my wifes first sports
car...she loves it!)(she thought I was nut's to buy it then fell in love
with it so I had to get some more ...with her complete blessing).
So "Swappers" your experiences would be appreciated.
