Welcome, Brendan to this 'strange automotive world.' Glad you're pleased with
your car.
Believe me, you'll have more fun and enjoyment working on it and enjoying it
than you ever
imagined possible. You'll hopefully have only a very few disappointments and
frustrations - but that's all part of the overall entertainment package.
If you ever get over to England, please let me know in advance. That will give
me the
opportunity to introduce you to the TR6 sold in the UK and the rest of the
world. This had
fuel injection, 150bhp under your right foot and a lot of other goodies.
Unfortunately, it
failed to meet California emission control laws and this is why all North
American
versions had a somewhat milder level of performance and two carbs instead. Even
so, it was
fun and you'll find yours to be exactly the same.
In closing, I think you'll find yourself to be one of the younger members of
this list but
there's a lot of knowledge on it and we'll all try to help you with your
queries. At the
end of the day - we're all like you. Little boys who love their toys - and
you'll love
yours. Good luck.
Jonmac
