Hi Andy,
The only right way is a tranny out job but you can try this AT YOUR OWN
RISK.
I didn't post the original but if the car is road legal the best method I
have found
is to wait till the roads are quiet, run the engine until it reaches normal
temperature
then take the car out and drive around with the clutch pedal depressed until
it frees
a touch of moderate acceleration / deceleration will aid the process. To get
the car
going start it in gear with the park brake off, a warm engine will usually
do this
willingly even on a moderate gradient. Once it is going clutchless
gearchanges are
a doddle. Remember to match the engine revs whilst in neutral before trying
to
engage another gear (double declutching without the clutch).
!!!Remember to pull the stick to neutral if you need stop in a hurry!!!
If the car is not road legal the same technique can be used  if you have
some room
to manoeuvre on your property it involves making a forced gear engagement
still
with the clutch depressed (allow the engine to tick over as slow as
possible)
as soon as the gear engages stamp on the throttle to prevent the engine
stalling
and making best use of the space available allow the car to gather speed
before
braking hard. If there is no room to move this can be done whilst stationary
but this is more brutal,* apply the park brake and the foot brake and block
the
wheels if there is no room for the car to move at all.
* I ripped the oil filter off a spin on adaptor using the stationary method
on my
fathers 2500 saloon (sedan)
I have used  all these variations at one time or another and all the
transmissions
are still in daily use having suffered no noticeable ill effects! This is
not to say
it will never cause damage.
!!!REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE THROTTLE AS
SOON AS IT FREES OR YOU WILL OVER REV THE ENGINE!!!
I would not try the stationary method more than a couple of times, if it
doesn't
free, then take the box out and do the job properly.
