Supra 5 Speed in TR-3's

Hey Listers,
     Has anyone actually seen, or better yet has anyone installed and driven
one of the Toyota conversions in a TR? If so, how was it?
     Other questions:
     1. If you do install a 5 speed, do your regular derelict BCF (British
Car Friends) consider you a wuss?
     2. Would it have been easier or cheaper to just find (and pay through
the nose) an A-type overdrive and install that?
