Power steer pump

Hello list,
A friend is trying to replace the power steering pump on a 1973 Stag. A
mechanic he is working with thinks that the pump is the same as on Jaguars'
of the same vintage. Does anyone know if this is true?  Or other Triumphs
with the same pump?
