Listers,
As the list frequently revisits the topic of insurance for our LBC's,
I thought it timely that the most recent issue of Auto Restorer
(November 1999) had an article entitled "Buying Classic Insurance.
Save Money with these specialty policies for your vintage car or
truck." by Ray Dalton. Although the article does not provide a major
insight that has not already been discussed on the list it did provide
a list of classic car insurance companies I have included here to
share with everyone (as well as the bullet points on Buying Tips. If
anyone would like a copy of the complete article feel free to email me
off line and I'll send it to you.
Usual disclaimers apply, although I use Hagartey and have used
American Collectors and have had pleasant discussions with Parish, I
have no affiliation nor financial interest in any company listed. The
list here is simply an exact copy of what appeared in the article.

Buying Tips listed in the article:
1. Contact several companies
2. Compare coverages, restrictions, cost and service
3. Get assurances that your claims will be handled by an adjuster
who is
experienced with classic car repairs.
4. Ask other classic car owners for recommendations. Seek those who
have had to file a claim.
5. If you have multiple collector vehicles - including classic
motorcycles,
street rods, pickup tucks, and boats - ask about discounts.
Enjoy
