I can't check the wires on mine right now. However, the
wires on the switch are one active for high speed (you can figure this out
by trying power to each wire on the motor until it turns on. This is the
high speed wire.

When both wires are hot the speed is LOW! Strange but true. Still working
out the internal wiring schematic for this one...

The last one is the "park" power. This can be deduced by elimination
using a wire to the battery. Try each of the 3 wires until the motor runs.
Then
add a second hot wire to one of the other 2 wires. One of these will allow
slow speed

The last wire is powered at all times. This allows the motor to park. There
is a contact in the gearbox which loses contact in the park position. This
exact position is adjusted by loosening the 4 screws holding the domed
lid on the gearbox and twisting a little one way or the other.

Summary: One always hot for park
one other hot for high speed
both others hot for low speed.

The dash switch is IN for off
one click out for high speed (I think!)
two clicks out for low speed.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am in the final stages in putting my TR4A back together and I am having
trouble getting the wipers to work. Can someone out there with A TR4A take
a look at how the wires are hooked up on both the switch and the motor.
The schematic does not provide much detail about what color wire goes to
what terminal on the motor or the switch. I can make the motor run at a
single speed but can't get it to park. If I knew what wires were connected
at each switch position (off, Speed 1, Speed 2) then I could probably figure
it out. It appears that I have an aftermarket switch and could possible
only have a single speed motor.
