Dear Listers,
i recently purchased a replacement exhaust manifold for my 76 TR6 from
trf. while the new casting appears to be an exact match to the original, it
is missing the thin tubes that were on the original.
they are a part of the air injection system and i'm wondering if they're
necessary. there are holes in the new manifold that will allow air to pass,
i'm just wondering the purpose of the "finger extensions" that go about 4"
into the exhaust ports on the head.
trf's tech line is closed on weekends. any advice would be appreciated.
