I have been disappointed with the overall quality of reproduction rubber parts
on several vehicles - not exclusive to English cars.   It appears that the repro
mfgs do not use (all of the necessary) additives, such as: UV stabilizers, flex
agents, coatings.  I do not replace a rubber part unless it absolutely needs
replacement - this now even includes suspension bushings with rubber.
