Was reading a book about Antarctica and it mentioned an expedition led by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1958 that travelled to the South Pole by tractors.... specifically said that they used Ferguson tractors. Okay, I know the TR doesn't literally have a tractor engine, but shares a comoon ancestry (and parts) with such engines, sooo... a TR engine really was driven to the ends of the Earth? Anyone familiar with the particulars of this adventure? Geo Hahn 59 TR3A |
