What does that switch do?

On my basket case 1973 TR6 there are two holes in the left door post.
(Where the hinges are). One of them is for the switch that turns on the
"night light" when you open the door to get into the car. What is the other
hole for? It looks like it would take the same type of switch. But I have
not been able to find what it should control. Tips are welcome.
