Wanted to check the front wheel bearing for general condition and clean and repack them. According to the book, when you reinstall the bearing the nut should be tightened so that there is 3 to 5 thou run out. Not having a dial indicator, is there a rule of thumb for adjusting the torque on the bearing (i.e., tighten down and back off one quarter turn). Ernie Husmann |
