Brian Schlorff clued me in on how to easily remove IRS bushings without (usually) having to resort to open flames. A BOTTLE JACK I found that this plus a 9/16" socket does it really well. If you use a larger socket, the rubber does not deform as much and is much more resistant to moving. With the small footprint, the center of the bushing indents pretty far and it slides out easily. A lot better than drilling and buggering the arm itself! Quicker too! -Tony |
