My steering wheel was looking a bit tired... the cracks weren't bad but the finish had become grayish with whitish patches, about what you'd expect from 40-year-old Bakelite. Didn't want anything slippery on it (eg ArmorAll) and finally tried a bit of Thompson's Waterseal. Instantly the wheel had the look I wanted, not restored to "as new" but refurbished in keeping with the condition of the rest of the car (which has a nice patina of age). Geo Hahn 59 TR3A |
