Was the original idea to annonuce the Herald on St. George's Day or not, I
ask myself?
No matter, for there's nothing more exhilarating than ANY Herald of any type
('specially a Mk I 2 litre Vyteez) with worn crossplies on the rear end, a
nice twisting and greasy road and a heavy right foot.
FUN. Cheers, Zobo - you may have been one of the three factors that
financially busted Standard Triumph with your appalling build quality in
your first 18 months but Leyland rescued your concept. In the end, it turned
you into a rather exciting though much derided car. In Coupe form IMHO, you
were at your prettiest.
