Carl and all -

Sorry - The scrapyard was in Southern Indiana. Martinsville. I live in
Anderson, Indiana, which is central Indiana.

Please when you send out a "I found a..." note - indicate where the parts
are. There is no need for someone to think "that's for me" when it is 1,000
miles away. But if it is just up the road - that's a different story.

Bill, where is it?

Thanks
Carl

Today, at lunch, I went to a local scrapyard to see if
perhaps they had some
                spitfire parts. They didn't, but I found a TR4 (I think!)
Totally trashed!
Not one usable part (I thought). I looked under what was
left of the hood,
moved a seat and found a complete engine in what appears to
be in remarkably
good shape. Complete with all manifolds, carbs, etc. I
have no idea of
mileage, as there was no speedo. If anyone is interested in
this, I can go
back tomorrow or the next day and get the engine number off
of it so that
you can identify it. I am not really even sure this was a
TR4, as the body
was pretty well gone. I know it was a triumph from the
gearshift knob and
engine only! Let me know if anyone wants this off list.
I'm pretty sure I
                can get it pretty reasonable.
