Amazing, Carl -- your luck with the Stromberg diaphragms, that is. Back when
(admittedly hundreds of years ago now) I used my GT6+ as a 15,000 mi.
+/yr. daily driver for about three years straight, I would have to
replace at least one diaphragm per year, usually right after a critical
run in an autocross whereupon I would discover that I needed to replace
said diaphragm. (Once you've had a couple go, you get pretty good at the
diagnosis.)
But that was 20 years ago; maybe this is one replacement item actually
made to a higher standard in recent years? ;-)
