Corrosion in the fuse box is not uncommon in TR6's in my experience, and
will result in what happened to you. In my case, I kept cleaning the
contacts whenever it happened to me, then finally replaced the fuse box.
When you spun the fuses, you broke the fuse away from the non conducting
corrosion, and your fuses made contact again.
