Dzus fasteners protrude through the bonnet when they're

I need to raise the Dzus fastener brackets on the inner
fenders pretty far in order to get the bonnet to line up
with the apron and fenders. Could it be that I have the
wrong length fasteners? I think it's more likely that the
body panels are out of adjustment or maybe bent.

TRF (and others I suppose) sells shims for raising the "female" dzus bracket.
They're about 1/16" thick. Not difficult to get it lined up - at least in 2
places. If you order some get a few more than you think you'll need. They're
not expensive.
BTW I've seen the old "washer stack" under these brackets - looks like hell.
