Came across a set (actually 2 of them) of aluminum brake drums off early "Z" cars. I know that this is an easy conversion. Is there really any advantage to making the switch. These would be for the '61 (TS81802LO) project which is as I call it the "concours d'wannabe". It does have the aluminum oil sump so the aluminum drums might be a "nice" touch. How close are the 'z' type to the original optional equipment? Would this be a "points-off" on judging for concours? Enough questions for now. TIA, Carl |
