Hello all...
i am a relative newbie, who has rebuilt the odd chevy V8 or two,
but no
real experience inside Triumph engines..
i have a 72 GT6 MkIII (sorry, Comm# not handy)
it has a slight (but audible) rod knock after warming up..
can't detect it at all when cold.
The engine is out, and i want to do rod/main bearings over
spring break.. advice on how to proceed?
common pitfalls? i figure on changing the timing chain and
thrust washers while there, of course, but what about
crank/camshaft sprockets? are these often worn?
what's the likelyhood i'll hafta have th crank ground?
Reason i'm asking is that i'd like to be able to get it
all done in a week, during vacation.. and i want to order
all the parts now.
thanks!
aaron
