I can also verify that the later TR-6's did come with 1000 rev. per mile
speedo's. I
have a late '76 parts car and the dash assembly from CF36982 (March 1975) and
both
have the 1000/mi. calibration. Both are/were 3.7 cars without OD.
Factory parts books point to a speedo change at CF35000 as well as a change in
the
pinion gear in the trans - could this have been the point where the different
calibration started?
