I have some follow-up on which models use the OD cover plate I have fabricated.

It is used on all IRS cars TR4A thru TR6.  I am not sure why it is not used on
non-IRS cars.  It is not due to presence/absence of the angle drive since the 4A
since the 4A did not use one and later cars did.
