Last night, I finished reinstalling the newly re-built calipers, repco
pads,
new shoes, new wheel cylinders, turned rotars and drums, and braided
stainless steel hoses.
About 3 years ago, I had already replaced the master cylinder with a new
one.
As my helper and I began bleeding the brakes, we noticed that we were
making
very little progress in achieving a good amount of brake pedal. We
started
with the longest line (right rear) and proceeded sequentially to the next
longest line until all lines had been bled.
While topping up the reservoir, I happened to notice that the PDWA unit was
leaking brake fluid. At first, I thought perhaps the Master Cylinder had
overflowed onto the mounting surface of the PDWA. So, I thoroughly
cleaned
up the fluid and began bleeding the system again.
Sure enough, the PDWA is definitely leaking. It appears to be leaking
from
the area where the electrical snap connector attaches to the unit.
I don't have a clue where to find a replacement PDWA. I don't think they
are in production anymore. And, Haynes and Bentley both say they aren't
re-buildable.
HELP! Anybody got a good idea about how to solve this problem?

Mike,
I had the same problem. If you take the big nut off of the end and
remove the switch you can remove the shuttle that actuates the switch.
This shuttle has two O-Ring seals. It is these seals that are leaking.
I bought two new neoprene O-Rings at the hardware store and reassembled
mine 5 years ago and have had no problem since.
The other option is to remove the switch and replace it with a 1/8 inch
pipe plug.
