Yesterday the BMW board came together to decide who has to bear the personal
consequences that have to follow the Rover disaster. Anyone pointed at the
chairman of the board of directors, Bernd Pischetsrieder. New boss is Joachim
Milberg. His first job will be to sketch a new rough draft of the future
of the Rover Group, also owner of the rights for TRIUMPH cars. Nobody knows
what will happen, but the main problems at Rover are costs and quality. My
guess is that the BMW penny counters will soon be on their way to the British
island.
