All -
I'm getting out of the British Cars hobby and am thus motivated to
sell my '74 TR-6. If you're interested in picking up another, or
your first, Triumph then please read on. If you're not, then I
apologize for the interruption.
Thanks
Ron

==================================================================
Summary:
- 1974 TR-6 (Commission Number CF27755UO)
- Electric Overdrive, Air Conditioning, Factory Hardtop.
- Complete, runs, lots of options, but needs attention.
- Non-trivial body rust, but none in the frame or floor.
- Odometer reads 65k, but previous owner ran with a broken
speedometer cable for an unknown amount of time. My guess
is that the actual mileage is between 75k and 90k, but that's
only a guess.
Body:
- White (original color).
- Straight, no significant dents or dings.
- Rust around driver's rear tail light, and rust-through on
top of driver's rear fender.
- Rust-through on rocker-panel behind passenger front tire.
- All the glass is intact (both car & hardtop), although the
windshield is pitted.
- Headliner of hardtop is torn in a couple places.
- Soft top is weather tight. Includes tonneau and boot.
Interior:
- Reupholstered seats (black). Fabric faces with vinyl sides
and backs.
- Carpet's pretty tatty.
- Wood dash is in good shape and the instruments all work.
- Includes recently-installed AM/FM/Cassette, but I also have
the original Pioneer AM/FM that could be reinstalled.
Drive Train:
- Runs, but rough when cold and backfires under hard
acceleration. Recently drove from Seattle to Portland
and back with no problems.
- Rebuild & rebushed carburetors.
- Electronic ignition.
- New muffler.
- No problems with transmission or electric overdrive.
- Rebuild differential.
Brakes, Tires, and Suspension:
- Redline tires, but they're overdue for replacement.
- New bushings and springs all the way around.
- New shocks up front.
- Replaced universal-joints on the half-axles.
- Rebuilt brakes (front/rear pads, rear slave cylinders, master
cylinder).
- Steering rack needs replacing. I have a rebuilt rack from TRF
that's included with the car.
- Needs four-wheel alignment.
Price, Term, & Conditions:
- Best offer over $1 takes everything. This is an all or
nothing deal -- I'm not interested in selling bits and
pieces.
- I'll entertain offers through Saturday, November 11th.
- I'd like to see the car gone by Sunday November 13th, but
that's negotiable.
- If an out-of-towner buys the car I'd be happy to meet them
at the airport and put them up for a night.
How to reach me:
- Email is the first choice. rhood@fhcrc.org
- You can call me at work (206-667-5063) but it's likely that
you'll just get my voicemail. I'll return calls when I can.
- You may call me at home (425-672-2806), but please do so
between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. I go to bed
early.
Thanks
Ron
