Eric,
It is possible to buff out the scratches yourself using the Eastwood
kit, but keep in mind that any scratch deep enough to catch your
fingernail is too deep to buff out. Besides, you probably have a lot of
"sand sparkle" and you can spend a lot of time trying to get the
windshield to look good. For $110 plus installation, I think I'd opt for
a new one. Just my $.02 worth ( after trying to resurrect several
windshields with mediocre results.)
