Up on blocks?

List, I always thought that if some person put a car away in storage for
a long period of time, then one of the items was to put the car "up on
blocks", [with the cinder blocks on firm ground, a 2 by 12 board on the
block, & all this under the springs]. Weather leaf or coil. Question:
How else does one put the car "up on Blocks"? -Cosmo
