Hi Ken Are you sure the tran input shaft is aligned with the friction disk. (You did centre the friction disk didn't you.) If it is not sliding freely through the disk great pressure would be exerted on the drive shaft through the pressure plate/flywheel which could cause the whole thing to bind. You can buy a centreing tool fron the usual suppliers , or carve on out of an old wooden dowel. just cut splines to match those on the gearbox input shaft. ( If you have an old input shaft you can use that.) Good luck Don |
