If the car is not firing at all, make sure the points are separating and a
spark is seen between the two contacts. Take the distributor cap off, and
check the points gap. If that is cool, then, with the ignition on, roll the
car in 4th gear until the points separate. If no spark is seen, check the
other ignition components. If it sparks, then more than likely a fuel prob.
There are alot of other things to check, but no spark, no crank. Another
option, lift the lever under the fuel pump several times to prime the float
chambers. Could be dry if you came in without gas.
