Could someone enlighten me on the correct rocker / valve clearence on a
1500 Spitfire motor. I am working on a friend's car who is running a
mid-range Kent cam. I usually hang with the 2-letter Marquee so don't
profess expertise here. Going from a 1500 Midget manual, cold clearence
is 0.010. I was assuming this would be correct for this motor, also.
However, I measured the valve clearence and found it was 0.010 on the
intakes and 0.015 on the exhaust rockers almost on the button. The
variance is so much and the setting so consistent, I thought I would
post the question here to see if there is some magic mythology I am not
aware of. So what's the CW?
