In looking at purchasing powder coatings that could be used on manifolds and
exhaust components one manufacture states:
"Sled Black is a unique, silicone based low gloss powder coating designed to
resist heat exposure of approximately 1000 degrees F. Applications can include
coating of exhaust system parts for internal combustion engines and other
systems requiring a high heat protective coating."
They also now have a new material that can withstand 1200 degrees F for 24hrs.
My question is, anyone know manifold or exhaust system parts operating
temperature?
