Moss is having a 50% sale on a bunch of stuff including the speedo angle
drive (021-511). This thing fits a lot of cars (AH, Spit, MGB, TR4A-6) and
at $37.50 seems way cheaper than the TRF price of $98 (less 20% if you order
before Aug1).
I called Moss to see whatsup with their aggressive pricing and was told:
a) they have them made (guy wasn't sure but probably in the Orient),
b) they are not Smith's,
c) they (Moss) sell to TRF (?)
Has anyone obtained said part from Moss or TRF? Was it the same as the
Smith's part it replaces or does it seem cheaper quality? (that might be a
redundant question)
Mine works just fine as far as the gearing goes, but the brass fitting which
threads onto the O/D piece is on its last threads. Are the new ones brass as
well or some harder metal?
