I sent this last Sunday night and never saw it on the list. Sorry if it is
a duplicate. Do you have to use plain text only in the mail to the list.

Subject: Re: TR4 Chassis Numbers
Malcolm, Chip, Brad and Art......Thanks for taking the time to give me
your advice. I just got back from a beautiful Sunday at the "Day of
Triumph" run by the New England Triumph club. What a great day!! There
were 3 TR4s, 2 TR4As and 2 TR 250s... as well as 20+ TR3s and 30+ TR6s.
I got to talk to TR4 owners and restorers directly and review my car
buying decision with them. They all shared your point of view on the body
number. In fact, the best car there was a 62 with a commission number only
a thousand or so higher than my target car and the body number was a full
500+ higher than the commission number. And that car matched up with
numbers on BMHT certificate.
Based on all the conversations today and seeing how nice the target car
could look with a little work and money.... I am going to take the plunge
and make an offer on the car.
Thanks again for the help
