driving a spit

hi- my name is steve and i'm considering buying a spitfire.  the
question I have is how does the driving position compare to that of an
mg 
midget.  I'm only 5'7", and I didn't like the midget I drove the other
day very much. really low seats and a high dash, I could hardly see over
the steering wheel.
