DOT directions

I have their flier with map in front of me.  I quote:

"From the South:
Follow Route 1 North to the large rotary at Pond Street.  If you pass
Jamaica Pond on your left you have gone too far.  Follow rotary 3/4 of the
way around to the light.  Turn right on to Pond St./Newton St.  The museum
is about 2 miles down on the right hand side, right after the Town of
Brookline sign."
