I would like to replace the rubber bushes on the upper a-arm of my TR-3, and was wondering if it is possible to do this by just letting the weight of the car rest on a stand, or does the spring need to be compressed...I've got the info on making a spring compressor, but looks to me like just the weight of the car should be enough to remove the ball and arm and pop on new bushings.
