(Related to an earlier note I posted) I rebuilt my Stromberg carbs and now can't get the car to idle anywhere near 1000 rpms. The idle screws can't be backed out any further and still I'm getting 1800 to 2000 rpms. The mixture appears to be about right, judging from the color of the spark plugs and I think the timing is about right (I advanced it to maximum rpms and then retarded it back 500). Did I do something wrong in the rebuild? John Middlesworth 1966 TR4A |
