Hi,
I friend is running a slightly modified Spitfire with a 1500 motor. I hang
around with this guy a lot, but only a week ago, after looking under his
"bonnet" about one gazillion times, I realized that he does not run any
harmonic dampener at all!
So, I told him that I'd post to this list to see if anyone could provide
any insight.
What I'm looking for specifically is: can someone please measure the
"snout" of a Triumph Spitfire 1500 motor and tell me the dimensions of
same. I'm more or less reserved to getting a Chevy V8 harmonic balancer
from Summitt Racing, But I'd like to know the dimensions of the crank shaft
to see how much work would be required.
So, can anyone help?
