I too live in New Jersey, (the state animal is the Construction Horse!)
I think that if you cancel the insurance after 6 Months, you must also cancel
your NJ registration. Then do it all over again next Year.
Been there tried that.

Subject: Insurance in NJ for a TR
I intend to buy a TR3 very soon. The problem is I live in New Jersey,
where insurance is generally outrageous.
Is there someone here who can give specific help?
I intend to use the car minimally... you know, sunny weekends, etc, so I
don't want to pay year-round premiums. Probably half-year covreage would
work.
Who do YOU use?
I'll be going to the Moorestown and Clinton shows, so I'll ask there too,
but hopefully, by the time the Clinton show comes around on June 7th, my
TR3 will be IN it.
Thanks a million,
Dave
