[TR6} Thermal Vacuum Switch replacement?

        Ted,

        I'm not a late TR6 owner, but I thought the purpose of the thermal
vacuum switch was to eliminate the vacuum retard at idle if the engine got
too hot, thus preventing overheating. If that's correct, it would have no
bearing on your start-up performance. Am I mistaken here?
