>>Look under the seats, I bet that the previous owner disconnected them,
because they are so damn annoying. You cannot set anything in the
passenger seat without buckling up the seat belt to stop the buzzer. This
is one of the reasons they quit installing them on cars. That and almost
everyone wound up unplugging them. So it was a waste of money and time to
install them.<<
I have a related Q. When I bought my 73 TR6 it had all the seat belt
interlock wiring removed. Was this done by the DPO, or was there a factory
authorized method for this? Some rear of fascia wiring was removed
(stubbed off) but the job was done fairly professionally -- not the
typical hack job I probably would have done! I seem to recall that the
gov't authorized killing the switch around 75 -- sort of like they are
today with the air bags. So there may have been a factory procedure for
this? The main reason I ask is that the fascia connection diagram 2 in my
Bentley manual doesn't correspond that closely to what I have and it's
tough to trace all that stuff when you're lieing upside down on the
floorpan. I would kind of like to get the key warning buzzer to work.
