Hi all,
I am having starter problems again , or should I say still. I had the
starter rebuilt and it worked fairly good for a while. More and more, it
doesn't want to engage. It spind, but it seems like the bendix doesn't go
out far enough, and it just spins or it will make a hoirrible grinding
noise.
If I rock the car in 4th or turn the engine over with the crank, I can
usually find a spot where it will engage and teh motor will ultimatly
start, but it seems to be getting harder and harder.
I did take it out once and lubricate the gears, didn't seem to help much.
Does this mean I need a new ring gear? Please say no.
