bicycle cables

It has been many years since I was an active member of the bicycle industry
(OK, so I was a mechanic for 3 months 20 years ago).  As I seem to recall,
back then brake cables were much larger in diameter than derailleur cables.
I would think that for a choke application, the brake cable would be
better the way to go.

Buy high quality bicycle cables. They are much better quality than the
standard auto stuff, with teflon inner sleaves for instance, and so on.
They come in an assortment of lengths and fittings, and can usually be
adapted in some way or the other.
