Lew, Had the same problem, solved with a gear puller. I used an old nyloc nut to keep the point of the puller on the end of the tie rod. I had to use a hose clamp to keep the puller arms from sliding off the steering arm. I resorted to this method after much beating with a separating fork, penatratant (sp?), the two hammer method, and much frustration. Brian 72 TR6 |
