Listers,
I checked into the feasability of converting my AM Triumph radio for
my spitfire to a more modern AM/FM with CD player capability. There
is a company call Classic Car Radio that puts in all new components
but leaves the exterior of the radio looking 100% original. The idea
sounds great and the options they have available sound terrific also.
But the cost is just a little higher than I can justify for a car
radio. The cost for converting the above radio runs $1295.00. If I
could justify a $1300 radio in my $10,000 dollar restoration I think
I would do something like that. As it is the cost is just to
prohibitive. I might have to tinker with it my self and see what
parts I could fit inside from some newer radio.
Just thought I would let you know whats out there.
Brad
Do what ? How much ? You must be kidding surely ?
