>The TR6 being auctioned is still at the minimum bid of $5000. Wonder
>why a ratty 63 spitfire would go for $2500 and a nice TR6 can't seem
>to get $5000 ???
Hey All,
I will try to explain this. I have watched E-bay for a long time, and
here is what Ihave noticed. WHen you sent a minimum bid the bidding cools off
sometimes. The bidding for the spit started at $0. This gets people to bid to
get something cheap. Then once the bidding starts people will continue to bid
(shoot I just bid $500 and someone beat me out for $550, I'm going to bid
$600). Also the spitfire was advertise as something special because it was a
very early comm number. The TR6, while beautiful, only shows on PIC, is a 72
(not early or late), and doesn't state if it has any features (i.e. OD,
Hardtop, AC, etc.) $5,000 is a lot to bid without being able to see the car.
Later,
