Chris asked about TriumphTune headers:

I have had these on my Spitfire for about 10 years. They had to come
off last year for a weld job where vibration etc had craked them. But
excellent longevity for the cost and performance. They are the mild
steel version as this is all they had at the time. I was told that
they are the same pattern as the works cars.

My car is a 1296cc with the dual SUs that were standard on UK
supplied cars I also run K&N filters if this has any effect.
When the headers were installed it ran like a dog. I'm talking
really sad. The solution is to was to rejet (richer) and to change
the damper spring for a weaker spring, in order to richen the mixture
further when the vacuum operates the needle circuit in the carb.
With that Weber I think you'll want a richer jet for both the main
and idle circuit.

I have an email address (at home) for TriumphTune in Richmond. My
emails have all been answered by Terry Hurrell himself and been very
helpful. I'll post it if anyone wants it.

Interestingly when I changed the pipes and air cleaner on my Harley I
had to rejet also.

I hope this helps.

Regarding the noise of the exhaust: I run the stainless TT system. It
it's kinda loud, but you ain't heard the Harley either.
