Two questions to ask: There was a U shaped bracket welded under the floorboard just under where the suspension bracket is spot welded to the floor. What is this for and does it need to be replaced? I have been offered a 1976 Spit 1500. 73K miles, sound body, interior shot, all there, engine ran as of 2 years ago, needs front floorboards, top, and rear bumper override. $500.00 in my home town.
